Trespasser falls to his death while evading police at Rockhampton residence
A 37-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a break-in at a property in Rockhampton, c Queenslandon Saturday.
He was standing on a second-floor balcony railing when police arrived at a residence on Alma St following reports of an unknown person breaking in around 9pm.
Queensland Police they said they tried to negotiate with the man.

“After these attempts, the man fell from the balcony and sustained serious injuries,” police said.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital for treatment.
However, he died of his injuries in hospital, police said on Sunday.
Ethical Standards Command is now investigating the death and the State Coroner has been notified.
This investigation will also be subject to independent oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
