How to play Connections: Sports Edition

The rules are almost the same as the regular game. You are given 16 words and you have to put them into four groups that are somehow related. The main difference is that all the words and categories have some kind of sports connection. Sometimes the categories seem obvious, but the game tries to trick you by using sports-related words that can fit into more than one group. All four groups of words have different levels of difficulty. Yellow is the easiest and purple is the hardest, but you won’t know which color group is which until you solve the puzzle.

But you don’t need to be obsessed with sports to solve Connections: Sports Edition, although it helps to know a little about a bunch of different sports and athletes. Words may include player names, team names, or sports-related activities.
