Police were called to James Street in Mordiallock just before 11am on Thursday and found the bodies of Sandra Dobrilla, 41, and a 38-year-old St Kilda man.
It is believed they were initially found by one of the victim’s colleagues who went to the home after they failed to show up for work.
Friends of Dobrila told 9News that she is a thoughtful, generous and vibrant woman.
It is known that she moved from Croatia to Australia just a few years ago.
Police are still working to establish the relationship between the pair, but said they are not looking for anyone else in their investigation.
