Lakeside Drive in Albert Park, Melbourne is best known as one of the fastest sections of the Australian Grand Prix circuit, but one rogue driver has been filmed treating the neighboring golf course as a rally stage.
Although the road was clearly marked with fences on either side, an Everest driver found his way into the bumps, tearing up the parallel lawn as he appeared to find his way back to the tarmac.

TV presenter and radio presenter Jackie Felgate was on hand capture the strange event that occurred in broad daylight in the busy Albert Park neighborhood.
While it’s unclear whether the Ford driver intentionally left the tarmac, over the course of the short video their driving style quickly changes from uncertain to enthusiastic.

However, it is illegal to drive on public land unless this Everest is some kind of disguised golf cart. Anyone caught doing this can be fined up to $925, and the offense carries a maximum penalty of $9,246 if prosecuted in court.
