Russia launched 78 drones against Ukraine overnight from the Russian cities of Kursk, Oryol and Bryansk, the Air Force of Ukraine said in a Telegram update.
As of 9 a.m. local time, Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units, radio-electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups from the Air Force have shot down 32 drones in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkassy, Sumy, Poltava, and Zhytomyr regions. 45 drones were reported to have been lost “on location” – possibly, the Air Force suspects, due to electronic warfare countermeasures.

The new EU external representative Kaya Callasand head of the European Council, Antonio Costaarrived in Kiev on Sunday in a symbolic show of support for Ukraine on their first day in office.
“We came to give a clear message that we are behind Ukraine and continue to give our full support,” Costa told reporters.
Their visit came after that Russia launched attack drones against Kiev in its latest overnight airstrike against the Ukrainian capital, which has come under regular bombardment since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.
Air defenses destroyed about a dozen drones over the city, military administrator Sergei Popko said. There were no reports of injuries or deaths in the attack.
Kalas, a former prime minister of Estonia, said NATO must remain a leader when it comes to European defense, with the EU supporting on issues such as increasing weapons production.

One child died in the Russian West Bryansk area after a massive Ukrainian drone attack, local governor Alexander Bogomaz said. Bogomaz said the attacks completely destroyed a house in Starodubsky municipal area. An 11-year-old boy was reportedly killed after a drone struck a five-story residential apartment in the area.

The Russian Defense Ministry said its air defenses destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 20 in the Bryansk region, seven in Kaluga district, and one in Smolensk and Kursk regions.

At least three people have been killed in a Russian drone attack on a southern Ukrainian city Khersonthe regional governor announced earlier today. Seven more people were injured in the morning attack targeting public transport, Alexander Prokudin wrote in a post on Telegram.

Russian missile attack on a city in the central part of Ukraine Dnipropetrovsk region on Saturday killed at least four people, Vladimir Zelensky has said. More than a dozen others were injured, including a child, while an apartment building and a store were damaged, according to officials.

Ukraine has asked Latin American parliamentarians and diplomats to assist in its defense in the war with Russia. Representatives of Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Ecuador, Peru and Costa Rica came to Kyiv for a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
